About the platform
A clean foundation for artist portfolios
Making Space Four is built within the WordPress block system, so each artist joins as a member and builds a focused portfolio of ten images. The structure keeps the artwork first, with membership and profiles handled quietly behind it.
Each artist brings a different practice, and the portfolio should let the work speak in its own terms. Ten carefully chosen images give visitors a clear, unhurried way to browse each maker's work.

How membership and portfolios fit together
Step 01
Free membership access
Paid Memberships Pro in its free version governs who can join as an artist member, keeping onboarding straightforward and accessible.
Step 02
Profiles with BuddyPress
BuddyPress provides each member's profile, giving the community structure its shape within the WordPress framework.
Step 03
Ten images with BuddyPress Media
BuddyPress Media handles uploads, so each artist assembles a portfolio of ten images of their work.
